People who "lost" fights but didn't really lose them

Here's two that are always brought up to put down English fighters...

Danny Williams vs. Michael Sprott III. Sprott could hardly see by the final two rounds and barely threw a punch. Danny was so in control that he was showboating, which angered the ref (the only judge in British bouts) - even Sprott knew he hadn't really won.

Howard Eastman vs. William Joppy. Howard let Joppy smack him on the jaw for kicks, dropped him in the last round and mocked Joppy to the crowd for running. Eastman believed he was robbed for the points decision going against him, and the boos of the crowd seemed to agree.

    Other recent notables?:

Roy Jones Jr. vs. Antonio Tarver. Personally, while Roy was clearly losing the fight, Tarver's low work rate allowed Roy to steal it on points.

Eastman isn't worthy of fighting Hopkins. He just aint good enough to win...no matter how you want to interpret the Eastman vs. Joppy fight.

He has earned his chance though. 40 - 1 (36 ) is a good record and he has cleaned up the British and Europeon middleweight scene.

Of course he is. Not saying for a minute he is in Hopkins class but he deserves the oppotunity as much as most others (certainly more than say De La Hoya who I love).

Hate to keep bringing it up like this, But this thread pertains to it.

Andrew Golota vs John Ruiz, everyone in Madison Square Garden knew, people at home knew, the judges knew, hell, even Ruiz knew he lost the fight. Golota had Ruiz beaten so bad, that eventually, the only shots Ruiz could get in were after the bell. It was a shock to everyone that Don King yet again pulled out a victory for Ruiz.

                Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Marquez

                Manny clearly won by decision.

I think Agustus won too, but the robbery cry has been overrated. Agustus plays around way too damn much. At times, it was difficult to tell when he was even winning. He threw punches in spirts then danced the rest of the time, while Bourton kept coming forward.

Mickey Ward vs. Jesse James Leija. Mickey lands a nice left hook opening a cut on Leija that stops the fight. Lawrence Cole, THE WORST REFEREE IN THE GAME OF BOXING, calls it a butt. ( he later said that he called it a butt not because he saw the butt, but because he "didn't see the punch") They go to the scorecards, and Ward loses. Instead of a TKO win, he gets a technical decision loss.
