Not everyone is the same Webb. Physically a person can recover within hours. Some people are mentally effected by it though. Google Trypanophobia.

And I understand that everyone is different Dee. But this dude Manny has said, he doesn't want to do it the day of the fight, then goes on to ask for a 30 day cut off because "it weakens" him. Not to mention, that he gave blood (pre fight exam) 19 WHOLE DAYS before fighting Clottey and THE NEXT DAY was destroying his sparring partners AND threw 1000 punches in the actual fight.

How can any rational and logical person BELIEVE him when he says it weakens him after what I just typed above?

how long does it take for the skin to close up the tiny needle wound?

you should not box with a wounded body, even if it is small... especially it is going to be hit all night long. the clot that healed the tiny wound can be fatal if it traveled all through out the body because it was dislodged from the healing wound.

you can be lucky if it clogs your brain...

        just a medical opinion

Do you think you can tell them "no" because you about to start a sparring session shortly? After they took your blood do you think you can still do your training 100% physically or mentally? Of course you will said yes. My question is....did you ever box before and subjected to this procedure?
First of all, this won't be a blood drive. They aren't going to suck the life of Manny's body. You guys are over-exaggerating it.

To the second bolded part, Manny gave blood (pre fight physical) 19 WHOLE DAYS before fighting Clottey and THE NEXT DAY was destroying his sparring partners AND threw 1000 punches in the actual fight. And he's weakened? Give me a break.

I boxed a little at a very early age and OF COURSE I haven't been subjected to this procedure.

I not talking about Manny. I'm talking about all the boxers to be subjected on this. Reread my previous posts.

I understand, and quite frankly, I just dont think that Manny wants to bend over and have Floyd dictate the terms of blood testing when there's a commision already in place that does that. Manny has already went on the record to say that if the commision asks for it, then he'll happily agree.

As far as contradicting himself though.....Floyd is the king of that. U cant take anything these fighters say at face value.

I'm not buying this here. If he NEVER wanted to "bend over" to Floyd's terms he would have outright rejected them. That is simple logic. And the Commission ALSO is in place for dictating the weight penalties for fighters that come in over weight, but he conventiely ignores and goes above the Commission then. If that isn't a double standard, then my last name isn't Webb. Let's call a spade a spade.

Therefore its fine? I ain't buying that dude. This is a SERIOUS issue. When ANY top pro athlete is mentioned about possible PED use in this era and they lie about certain things, its serious. Again, let's be real here.

Its such a serious issue that Floyd waited till his 41st pro fight to bring it up? LOL...Cmon man.

Who brought up the issue of PED use? Floyd's father. How convenient.

floyd was looking for a way to stop the fight from happenning from the start. From the begginning he was asking for ridiculous demands like a fight at 154 glove size 10 oz but he knew he couldn't get away with those demands and not look like a bully to the fans and the media. so he then came up with osts and once pac declined he found an avenue to attack pac and stop the fight from happening. this is my view of events.
