Ortiz is heavy handed man...he sent Maidana to the floor. Maidana even said vic was very strong. the reason maidana didnt take the rematch fight was because he knew Vic wouldnt make the same mistake again and outbox him. Lesson learned for Vic. Khan lost to Prescott who since has failed to impress. Both Khan and Ortiz looked good against guys who admitted being a bit over the top.

I think if the fight happened Khan would win the first 3 rounds, then Ortiz would start breaking inside of Khan, eventually knocking him out in the 11th round.

But people, no way in hell this fight is happeneing now, GBP is gonna milk these dudes ala Top Rank with Juanma and Gamboa. Ortiz and Khan both have a HUGE future if managed right.

khan ko'd ortiz horribly in the ameteurs and no matter how long ago it was but when you get in the ring with a fighter who has ko'd you before it plays on your mind during the fight! and usually results in you boxing safety first the second time round.

ortiz boxed beutifully on saturday but very safety first but khan boxed even better and got a stoppage on a guy that never gets stopped like that.. khan hits pretty hard and is so dam quick that i dont think ortiz will be able to out box him in any way shape or form, he wont be able to get out the way and i see khan knocking him out again just like the ameteurs.

people are soon going to realise that its pretty much impossible to beat khan by out boxing him.. hes an olympic champion that is so quick and when he hits you you either fall on the floor or start back peddling where he outboxes you even more.
the only way to beat khan is to walk forward and ko him which doesnt look as easy to do anymore as it once was..punch stats for saurday show khan took only 1 punch directly on the chin which is impressive. plus i dont think ortiz has his killer instinct anymore after what maidana did to him to be able to do it.

ortiz i think has a much better chance at beating bradley or alexander. khan i think beats all of them..only one that is a real risk for him is maidana as he hits too dam hard.

I think Ortiz is a very dangerous challenge for Khan. Khan has incredible talents,skill and speed,his pacing and stamina seem to be vastly improved as well but there will always be question marks about his chin. Ortiz can definitely trouble him if he lands,and his handspeed isnt to shabby either. Amir's defense has improved fairly dramatically but I get the nagging feeling that Ortiz will give him plenty to deal with if they fight.

From purely the point of view of whats best for the division, Khan should really be going after fights with Bradley or Alexander and you could make an argument that they should be actively pursuing him given that he is the only PPV attraction out of the three. Khan is a world title holder,and as such he should be past the prospect stage of building himself up,but I think that a fight with Ortiz is a sound and legitimate precursor to what could be a very interesting series of fights with Bradley or Alexander or both(its important to remember that they also have to win their next fights too).

One thing is for certain,and that is if he can get past Ortiz then all of the forum talk about him being a 'hype job' or a 'fraud' can be well and truly put to rest.

No way will this fight ever happen.

No matter what you think of Amir, based on his weaknesses, it's suicide to have him fight Ortiz.

I don't care if Amir can outbox him- I know he's pretty damn fast and has some skills- but he's not strong as some people seem to suggest and I don't see him hurting Victor. In fact, he could let Khan take an early lead just to land his harder shots until he stops this fool late.

I see Ortiz KOing him. A nasty one, too.

Freddie will make him steer clear for at least this year. At least.
