Somebody please explain this Khan hype to me...

First off good performance by Khan, good, nothing SPECIAL but good.

He went in to the fight WIDE favourite, he fought a fighter who was perfect for him in terms of style, Khan is fast, Paulie is always open (go through my posts, I even said about a month back Khan's jab would dominate due to Paulie's hit man style), go watch the Paulie who fought Cotto & then Paulie vs Diaz, you can see the decline in footwork dramatically which was going to turn out to an advantage for Khan & Khan could go in to the throwing combinations & not worrying about getting hit due to Paulie power.

So with all the advantages Khan had ( i haven't mentioned size etc), shouldn't of Khan stopped Paulie more impressively & earlier.

This isn't a hate thread, because Khan is a good fighter but all this hype about him being the next PPV star, ruling the 140 division & Khan vs Pacquiao threads have got me

Shades of floyd mayweather. I never ever thought that Khan would have the ring IQ to catch malignaggi coming in with a check uppercut with sweatspray flying of his head. For a second I thought he would be hatton'd.

I also say about 30-40% of a philly defence. If you watch carefully you will see khan shoulder parrying one of paulies left hooks.

He beat the **** out of a decent fighter that usually gets people pretty hyped.

It was a pretty good showing against a decent boxer. As tough as Paulie is, Khan had no worries of ever being hurt or knocked out, so it was a pretty good win.

Now he has to step it up by facing much harder punching and tougher comp.

if floyd waits that long to fight khan khan will probably end up knocking him
out in round 1 .. and he has no problems with blood tests.
