  • Srr: The incomparable goat

All these threads saying such and such fighters are being compared to the great SRR. I find this ridiculous. There is no fighter in history that can be compared to SRR and that's final. There's a reason why he's called Lb 4 Lb the greatest fighter of all time. There is no one and will never be anyone like him. Ever. Records, fights, activity, perfection in boxing incarnate. HE'S YOUR FAVORITE BOXER'S FAVORITE BOXER. Charisma, style, lifestyle, character, fight style, every single thing about him was great not good but great just ask Muhammad Ali. I apologize for the rant but I'm just tired of seeing these threads and posts of people comparing SRR universally known as the GOAT, the KING being compared. I'm not saying he's the end all be all for eternity and I'm sure in the future there would be somone comparable to him but 2 this day no one. Fought everyone, I mean Jesus Christ the man fought 3 or 4 times in 1 month when he HAD money!! Who does that? Not one man to this day, as well as being infamous for saying "I never really liked boxing, I just do it for the money". When one of your fighters is the complete package and then some, and is loved by the people not hated and can basicAlly tell a mob boss to go **** himself that he goes down for no one plus has the power to kill a man in the ring. Come see me! Till then LONG LIVE Sugar Ray Robinson!! The King, the Goat!...........Ez

There are a lot of Robinson threads lately. That's a good thing.

I've seen reasonable arguments made for Armstrong and Greb.

Yeah, No doubt they were GREAT ATG fighters.....but as far as the COMPLETE package goes. I have to disagree.

Not really. Muhammad Ali has a very very strong case here. Henry armstrong, willie pep also.

i respect your opinion but even Ali admitted to SRR's greatness. SRR's whole style was emulated by Ali. Not to a T but he sure tried. Out of Ali's very own mouth

Henry Armstrong?..close to S.R.R. greatness...you got to be kidding me.
He was able to hold 3 titles at once because he had a famous manager and they want him to be more famous that Joe Louis.I'm not putting him down but they just cherry picked a lot of his fights.

You're crazy - Henry Armstrong is no chump and IMO is the GOAT over SRR.

                  Henry Armstrong - GOAT.
