Morales lost every round to Raheem. He was CLEARLY past it

And Pacquiao made him come DOWN in weight

Anyone trying to say Morales was prime doesnt know what they are talking about. His prime was when he was undefeated not when he was coming off consecutive losses.

I was just using that as an example. He doesn't care about titles, but lets say he was chasing Pac's record (Barrera and Morales are chasing a record) he would do something like that. This would never happen and I was just using that as an example to illustrate the point on why both were moving up in weight.

Bull****. He went to 135 because he couldn't make 130. Why the **** would he want to move up to fight Rahim for less money when a Pacquiao rematch beckoned? And don't forget both guys were on the same card as a set-up to a rematch--a rematch Morales wanted at 135! Why? Just think about it, it'll come to you.

Again. When a dehydrated fighter can no longer make weight and is forced to move up, then is soundly drubbed the whole "it was the weight" thing flies out the window. Why? Because he would be even worse at the weight he could no longer make. Going down to 130 ruined Morales. Ruined whatever he had left which, obviously, wasn't much.
          past his prime my ass...

When was the last prime morales competed if you are so sure?

Well, if that was his motive, why didn't he rematch Raheem?

I don't know really know WTF the argument is about. I thought a lot of "Pac cult members" gave Morales credit for beating "our God"

But, I also think Pac did improve after that fight. Is not taking credit away from Morales though.

And, I don't think Morales was shot the first time they fought. I do think he was at the down slide of his career. And, had ONE last great fight in him. Like a lot of great fighters have.

Yeah but your example is all wrong. All wrong - and reeks of someone with little understanding of business or basic reasoning.

As a fan of both fighters, I give Erik all the props in the world for beating Pac in thier first matchup.

What I dont understand are the people who praise Morales for thier first fight, then claim he was "shot" just 10 months later when Pac mopped the floor with him.
