The reason Hopkins got beat before was because Calzaghe simply out-worked him after round 4. He started to land clean, he was making sweat fly, and he was wearing Hopkins down. It's rare that anyone wears B-Hop down, but Joe did it. If it were a 15 round contest, he may have even put him down for good.
In a rematch, Hopkins will try to negate Joe's work rate (which will likely be less than it was since he's been away for so long) by hugging him every chance he gets. He'll sneak in low blows that the ref can't see (just as he did against Jones), and then play-act when he gets hit in perfectly legal locations.
There doesn't need to be a rematch, and Joe should just stay retired. He was better than Hopkins; plain and simple. And this is coming from an American who was rooting for Hopkins.Comment

Good luck on trying to have HBO pick up the crap. Calzaghe's fights with Jones and Hopkins bombed and so did Hopkins' fights with Jones and Calzaghe respectively. This fight is horrible for boxing. Not that Dawson-Calzaghe would be exciting either, but at least it would supposedly be a match up between two top guys as long as Calzaghe isn't too far gone from the coke.Comment
