Comments Thread For: Joe Calzaghe Return, Against Hopkins, Still in Play

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has not given up on a potential rematch between Joe Calzaghe and Bernard Hopkins. Their fight in April 2008 saw Calzaghe get knocked down in the first round, but he staged a workman-like rally in the late rounds to win a close split decision. Calzaghe retired early last year. Hopkins has won three times since the loss, and that includes one-sided wins over Kelly Pavlik and Roy Jones Jr. [Click Here To Read More]

          LAME.

First fight wasnt even too exciting.

If Calzaghe returns he should fight another Brit or something. America has enough ****ty matchups going on right now.

I would rather Joe stick around and Hopkins just go away at least as an a active fighter.

Hopkins is 45, what's left out there for him to prove? He's a already a future HOF, and his legacy is ceiled..
