I love how people keep throwing Pep out there as if they've seen him fight.

Anyhow, Ali, Leonard, Whittaker, and Mayweather Jr., are all brilliant boxers. I don't care to rank them.

He's definitely one of the smartest. I think it's impossible to point out one fighter as more ring intelligent than EVERYONE else, but Floyd is up there.

i definitely agree... he is ****ing smart...

but i honestly believe he is not alone at the top...

He is probably not the absolute smartest ever, and probably not THE absolute best ever, but I do believe he ranks very, very well on both counts.

Mayweather is smart inside the ring and outside of the ring, takes care of his body, doesn't move-up-and-down in weight, his opponents always have their lowest output and connect rate when fighting him, he often outlands his opponents while throwing less overall punches, and that adaptability factor you just can't overlook that.

I do agree though that there are a lot of smart fighters and it is debatable; but I don't think that Whitaker was smarter than Mayweather because Whitaker let the drugs ruin him and stopped taking the sport seriously. That's just my opinion because being smart doesn't stop when you step out of the ring.

As a Floyd hater I will say that he has the best strategy even though it's boring, it's a bit like watching Italian football at times but you must respect it
