I don't see any similarities between floyd and SRL. Both are amazing fighters though. floyd has better defense and SRL has faster hands.

I've always felt that fight was massively overrated. Sure it was entertaining while it lasted, but I don't think it was as good as its made out to be. I'd far rather re-watch Leonard-Duran I for instance.

Ironically mine is Leonard-Hearns, it was everything in one.

I don't agree. Tommy Hearns was what I'd call a huge welter. Ray was average size for that weight.

Yeah, I've never thought that Leonard looked like a particularly big Welter at all.

I agree, Hearns used his height and reach to outbox Leonard. Being the great champion Leonard was, he knew he needed to finish Hearns off, and so he did.

And yeah Leonard should have lost to Hearns in the second fight. In an interview, Steward said him and Hearns felt they won, but because of the effort and heart Leonard had shown, they didn't completely argue with it.

                    Or something like that.

I agree. If I were to compare a fighter to SRL it would be Meldrick Taylor. Fast hands, and they will stand in the pocket and throw 7-8 punch combos.
