liked him up till I found out about his driving 'accident'.

Since then hes gone down many pegs in my book, though that's not to say I don't think hes good fun to watch in the ring.

Why should Brits embrace Khan? He is a Pakistani who happens to have been born in the UK.

so was every 'englishmans' parent foreign if you go back far enough, just one or two generations for many. current polish immigrants's children will be English but Khan wont be because of his skin colour... odd.

People should learn to not judge by the 0.01% genetic differences they can see in skin colour, and concentrate on the 99.99% similarities. don't pick up such thoughts from others, would be my advice to youngsters.

To really understand British Racism, we must accept its historical roots: 400-years of conquest and looting, four centuries of being told that you are superior to fellow darker-skinned human beings, you can be sure that the stains have been left.

The loutish, laddish yobs if England come from the not even the working class, but what was once referred to as the Residuum; the underclass. They have little or no education - they are incurious, unintelligent, inarticulate, and extremely uncultured.

I think I can say with certainty that there are people in England who will not, or cannot support Amir Khan because he is (1) Pakistani, and (2) ******.

But there's also those who dislike him because he has appeared ****y in what could be argued to be a manufactured, easy-route career.

BUT, if Amir Khan is NOT British because his grandparents are from Pakistan, I'm not sure how Froch is when his grandparents are from Poland. And by the same analogy, how is Barack ***** even American?

          Just my thoughts.

How can anyone hypothesize that racism is holding back this guy's career when he has had a silver spoon in his mouth from the day he went pro.

He's enjoyed larger crowds and bigger television deals than far superior fighters. He has gotten title shots in weight divisions he never even fought in, and his British fans on this site regularly talk about how he should dictate the terms of every deal because he is the cash cow that has the huge British following.

The bottom line is that the fans who like him, like him because he is British, in spite of his terrible personality and borish behavior.

Those Brits who do not like him, don't dislike him because of his race. They dislike him because he is a loser who disappointed their misplaced faith in a mediocre boxer. British fans love their athletes until they lose and then they do an about face and **** on them. White - Black - Arab - It doesn't matter to British fans. If you are a winner they will support insufferable ****s like David Haye - but then when you lose expect to be mocked like Audley Harrison and Enzo Mac.

Not to forget Calzaghe, whose father is Italian. And Lennox Lewis, who represented Canada with West Indian genes.

The hypocrisy. But ******ity of this kind has no bounds.

Yeah but YOU dislike him because of his race. You've made that much clear in the past.

British fans are probably the only fans in the world who will support their athletes through thick and thin. Ricky Hatton's fans kept singing after he'd been knocked out by Mayweather and 60,000 showed up to his next fight you ill-informed spaz****.

You're Hungarian and you're so insecure and ashamed of your nationality that you have to adopt another one and constantly talk **** about other countries

He has a lot of haters because of his religion among those things that you mentioned. There is a build up of Islamaphobia here.

He worked hard to do and get where he is. Any Olympic Medalist is more likely to get a better promotional company deal.

Hmm, what a backwards thing to say!

                      Edl or BNP?

He would if he spoke their language, was born their, won them an Olympic medal was a celebrity ect

An old debate, and from a post like this and others you catch a glimpse of in this case subtle but often a lot more obvious opinions deep ingrained all based on a shared hatred of these so called 'pakis' as you so unashamedly labeled in your post!

That aside I think Khan is mainly hated cos lets face it behaves like a bit of a bellend!

He hasn't really lived up to the hype either

Still he will fight anyone though, always in good fights
