How did we know you would use a Floyd example. Give it a rest man.

Now to be the champion you do have to beat the champion.

But, to be ranked #1 you DO NOT have to beat the #1 ranked guy.

Championships go by to be the man you have to beat the man

      Rankings go by recent resumes.

      Championships and rankings are different.

gonna have to agree for the #1 ranked guy in a division.

but p4p rankings are different. you gotta beat the #1 guy or he has to lose. hence, pac is still #1.

Is that I see a lot of people saying for example that Montiel is the man at 118 cuz he beat Hasegawa who was the man at 118. But, there was no clear man at 118. Yes Hasegawa was the #1 rank guy but he was not thee champ, he was not thee kingpin. And, Montiel beating Hasegawa does not make Montiel thee #1 guy, thee kingpin.

I have no problem with people ranking Monties as #1 right now, but Moreno and Perez win their next fight they would also have a case for being ranked #1. Hell they might have a case right now. Lets not forget that Montiel should of lost to Valdez.

Oleydong has a case to be ranked ahead of Roman Gonzalez.

So again you don't have to beat the #1 rank guy to be ranked #1. And, just cuz you do beat the #1 ranked guy does not make you #1.

However, at LW JMM is the champ. To be the champ you have to beat JMM at 135.

P4P really is a matter of opinion. It is what your interpretation of what P4P is.

When you duck the top guy and fight the #3 guy instead you shouldn't be awarded #1 p4p. IMO

I actually think Floyd is the lineal champ of the WW division. I have him as the lineal champ with Pac being ranked the #1 contender.

Im not talking about Floyd and Pac that subject is played.

                    Im talking in general.

Its not everyday when the 1 and 2 guys can even fight each other. So they get moved up and down based on what they do.

                      Ah, I see.

Well, I believe the fight with Valdez wasn't at bantamweight, both came in over 118.

However, I do agree in regards to Perez and Moreno. Outside of Hasegawa, Montiel's resume at 118 is unimpressive.
