How did Juan Diaz go from beating Julio Diaz, Freitas, and Katsidis

to losing to Malinaggi? Now I think that Diaz was competitive with Campell even though he lost and I question whether Diaz took a lot of damage in that fight because he went on to beat Katsidis who I think is a good fighter (I don't care what people say about him). I think JMM might've ruined Diaz, because when you can't beat a fighter like Paulie you are a gatekeeper with a capital G.

Paulie is bigger than those guys and is a "cutesy" fighter that likes to put on shows, plus Juan fought him coming off a KO loss to Marquez at a catchweight and at 140.

He doesn't belong at Jr WW and on top of that, Juan wasn't even a good puncher at 135.

Easy, wars take their toll and physically tax you throughout your career. One can also argue Juan Diaz lost to Paulie based on his inability to get passed Paulie's jab and even speed.

those other guys are pretty much walk forward sluggers, julio diaz isn't great, and paulie is slicker, faster, and a good back foot boxer. He also has a world class jab, which none of those either fighters have.

it all started with campbell beating him. then jmm finish him. they both took his heart out of the fight when he got cut not in the sense that he gave up but just couldn't deal with it. they both beat him at his own game too.

Paulie isn't a world class jabber, if that was the case he wouldn't have abandoned it last night. Paulie was just picking on a smaller dude, and people wanted to give him props for it because he is a loud mouth NYC guido. **** Paulie and HBO for giving the guy 3 undeserved paydays.

Paulie didn't really respect the smaller man Juan Diaz's power because Paulie has been in there with some good punchers like Cotto, Hatton and Khan. Paulie has a beard.

To one of the posters above complaining about Malinaggi getting undeserved money. Funny you say that, but don't criticize Khan for the exact same thing.
