I think the most telling part of Paulie's decline is that he was stunned/buzzed by Juan Diaz in both their fights. If Juan Diaz is buzzing you at 140, a true 140 fighter is going to take you out. Then compond the fact that Paulie's non-existant defense leaves him to be touched by anyone who throws a punch.

If you are refering to me, make no mistake I think Khan is a hype job who is way overpaid for not doing a damn relevant thing his whole career. Sadly GBP seems to own HBO now, and nothing but GBP fighters are promoted.

Marquez ruined him. I think each loss had to do with him losing a little, but Marquez ruined him.

Campbell showed that Diaz couldn't fight with a cut.

Marquez took away his intensity, which was the best thing about Juan. He was a pretty good pressure fighter, but his intensity was his key attribute because he never stopped coming forward and trying. That decreased after the Marquez bout. He didn't look the same after.

Malignaggi I took away his pressuring gameplan in general.

If Marquez even struggles with Diaz this time around, it'll be highly disapointing. Also Malignaggi looked good in his wins over Diaz. Paulie last night was just overwhelmed by Khan's speed.

He isn't a world class jabber but still disrupted Juan's rhythm with it, hell he may not even be that fast according to some but he still was fast enough to get off his shots first...

Again the only reason Paulie beat him, in the 2nd fight and struggled life and death with him in the 1st is because of Paulie's size advantage and ability to take a bunch. He is physically bigger than Juan, had Juan fighting at 140 or a catchweight, plus he felt he didn't need to be afraid of his power. He just picked on a smaller guy and laughed all the way to the bank like he achieved something.

Basically last night was ****ign karma for Paulie, Khan fought him for the same reason he jumped right away at fighting Juan, he was bigger, faster, and knew he couldn't hurt him.

I think the loss to JMM would have an effect on him, i took a beating once in a street fight when i was a kid and it does effect you mentally, it took me a while to recover from it. You will never fight with the same confidence and the mental side of things is very over looked by some people.

I think Marquez ruined Diaz mentally. He hasn't been the same since and a second fight will not help.

At one point Juan Diaz was a damn good fighter despite what the ******s on here might say.. "ooh, he was never that good to begin with"...

Yeah right. He was buzzing through everyone they put in front of him like a machine.

I think the combination of the Campbell setback and the Marquez loss took a lot out of him.

I personally do not think Juan is done yet. He just ran into a couple guys who were bad matchups for him. Marquez the truly gifted counter puncher and Pauli the very fast and awkward boxer. Campbell was a tough wiley veteran who caught him in a transitional period. He was still competitive in all three fights!

Juan is still a good fighter. Sure he has a couple dents in his armor but with his style, he is bound to earn some along the way.
