the usa changed the way boxing is judged
the original judging of pro boxing in the UK was done on a points system, like the amateurs, to determine who the most skilled fighter is

then you yanks changed it and awarded points for aggression


hence, a skillful fighter should fight where skill is rewarded

**** that points ****, that **** allows for that ****ty robotic european style to prevail. Look at olympic boxing, there is a reason why alot of european fighters never turn pro, because that points bull**** neutralizes style.

Hatton doesnt fight like a ****in robot, which is why i respect him and his style. Aggression and taking the fight to your opponent should be rewarded, not throwing a bunch of cheap ass jabs to "score"

Joppy is a horrible example to use....

I think there are plenty of excellent British fighters.

Eubank, Lewis, Hamed, Benn, etc...all greats.

However, the US produces the best.

Per capita it's actually the UK that is the most successful boxing country, infact the US doesn't even come close! And that's official per capita, so you can't change the facts.

I guess It would be bad to use that regarding their difference in weight class. As far as skills go.....I dont know though man. Joppy is a 3 time world champion who was regarded as one of the slickest fighters, if not the slickest in the middleweight division. He showed his metal in rubbermatches with green and by outclassing foreign opponents one after another.

I really dont see how Calzone and Eastman are that different. The level of opposition they faced is arguable to the point where I even consider them equal as fighters.

This whole Veit, Sheika, Mitchell, etc....doesnt cut it for me.
