I heard rumors on a couple of sites that it might be John Murray. Could there be truth to that?

They are never going to let Kahn within 10 miles of a puncher. His people were probably pissed when he called out Maidana, because now they are going to have to back track, and do some creative manuvering to explain why Kahn isn't going to fight him.

It makes sense because Ortiz is similar-ish to Maidana in that he's a power puncher, but I think Ortiz is more skilled. Ortiz is also off the back of an impressive win against Nate (albeit a shot Nate) on Khan's undercard. UK fight fans that have not heard or seen Ortiz before would now know who he is having seen him on the undercard.

The fight wouldn't need as much promotion, which is ideal as it they'd only have 2 months before the fight anyway. Khan and Ortiz should take 1-2 weeks off to recover - Khan's face was a bit marked up, Ortiz wasn't hurt though, he looks fresh.

Khan wins by UD or late stoppage.
Easily the dumbest post I've read that tried to sound semi-intelligent on boxingscene.

First off, Ortiz is NOT "more skilled" which showed when he QUIT after getting beat the hell up by Maidana. Did you even know those two fought already?

Second, why in the hell would Golden Boy put two of their youngest stars AGAINST EACH OTHER at this stage of their career when A.) Khan is hardly known in the US and B.) Ortiz is hardly if not known at all in the UK. Don't you understand that Golden Boy has a plan layed out for these two to make them superstars in the sport? If what they've layed out works(Ortiz getting beat up by Maidana was an unexpected speedbump by Golden Boy), there are potentially millions upon millions to be made later on down the road.

But screw the money right? Lets have them fight in 2 months, with no promotion, in the UK!

Speculation is one thing, but ****** speculation like your post is cringe worthy. Just delete your account.

I will be surprised if he fights in July thats two months away. Maidana is injured Prescott fought on the same night as khan I cant see him wanting to fight khan in two months but he may do.

Some people are saying they don't care who this kid fights after all the **** he's talked? To tell you the truth I know it's high standards but he should fight Alexander or Bradley. Why is he running off at the mouth about how he wants to fight the best over here and then runs back to the UK to avoid the best? It's like HBO wants to keep all these guys from fighting each other. 140 might be a deep division, but what good does that do if top guys are not gonna fight other top guys.
