There are talks of Katsidis moving up to LWW to fight Khan in England in July, before Khan goes back to the states to fight Maidana.

I believe Katsidis is a much tougher fight than Prescott at this point.

He needs to fight July 31st because Ramadan starts in August and that is 30 days of fasting. He'd be in no position to train during that month and he wants to stay active...young guys like him need to fight more than twice a year IMO. He probably won't fight Maidana so soon, less than 2 months to wind down then get a 6-7 week training camp while promoting a fight is too slim. He should just fight a solid contender who has decent pop as a warm up to Maidana or whoever he might fight next. But is there anyone of decent quality?

It will be Ortiz. Maidana's injured and Bradley will probably fight him next whilst Amir is recovering from Ramadan.

It makes sense because Ortiz is similar-ish to Maidana in that he's a power puncher, but I think Ortiz is more skilled. Ortiz is also off the back of an impressive win against Nate (albeit a shot Nate) on Khan's undercard. UK fight fans that have not heard or seen Ortiz before would now know who he is having seen him on the undercard.

The fight wouldn't need as much promotion, which is ideal as it they'd only have 2 months before the fight anyway. Khan and Ortiz should take 1-2 weeks off to recover - Khan's face was a bit marked up, Ortiz wasn't hurt though, he looks fresh.

Khan wins by UD or late stoppage.

I think and hope that it will be Prescott. Prescott is one-dimensional and is a good tune-up for a later Maidana fight. I really think that Amir wants to put that defeat to rest.

The fight wont have to be promoted much because Prescott is very well known in the UK.

He wants to fight in July 31st because Ramadan is at mid september and you're fasting for 30 days and obviously you're not allowed to fight. When Khan fought Prescott it was during the ramadan, I wonder if he was fasting? Anyway there are a few opponents for him like:

            John Murray
            Michael Katsidis
Maybe prescott but I see that as a total mismatch tbh.

Hope it's in north west but I am definately going to watch it dont care where it is

I don't mind who he fights, it's clearly a keep-busy fight and then he can face Maidana or one of the other topline guys. You guys expect too much sometimes. This is a guy's CAREER. If boxers fought who you wanted them to fight all the time very few would make any money or have longevity in what is a very brutal and unforgiving sport. Khan is only 22.

I bet Khan stops Prescott in the rematch.

What about Lamont Peterson, if he can't get Maidana or Ortiz?
Or I was thinking Cayo vs Peterson would be a good fight.
I dunno why Cayo dropped down so far in the rankings. It's crazy what losing one fight will do. 140 is so deep though that I feel like they'd actually be scared to fight each other to lose. I mean there's potential for a mini golden era if they all fight each other regardless of losing and just putting on great fights, rematchs etc.

I agree, sounds like he's looking to pick Prescott apart in the re-match, guess it's been nagging him for a while.
I heard that Prescott destroyed the guy he fought yesterday, so he's on a winning strike now..Let's make the fight
