I agree completely. The only fight I can see beating it for FOTY is if Toney/Klitschko comes off, and Klitschko floors Toney twice early, and then Toney comes back to knock him out or something. See how hard one must stretch to find a better fight?

Even if that does happen I don't see it beating Corrales/Castillo. I think that fight far exceeded any expectations it had going in.

Well Toney beating Klitschko (and especially in the fashion I just described) would be 100x the accomplishment. Corrales really didn't impact the sport too much with his win outside of making a couple of possible openings at 140 and for a rematch.

Toney beating Vitali would have an impact on the history of the sport as well as on Toney's all-time ranking as a fighter. If he KOed Klitschko or even beat him then he'd be a top 50 fighter of all time in my book.

The fight itself wouldn't live up to what Castillo and Corrales did in that fight in my opinion. The accomplishment of Toney beating Vitali would be bigger but the fight itself wouldn't. Unless it was as brutal or even half as brutal as Corrales/Castillo.
