That's why I think Morales/Pacman was a better fight. There was no cheating in that fight by either guy. Pacman fought with a cut eye most of the fight, losing tons of blood, but he kept in there with Morales like a champ.

I think there were other dynamics about that fight that made it really great.

First of all, Pacquiao was undoubtedly the most dangerous fighter in any division at the time...coming off the 1 sided beating of Barrera, the draw with Marquez, and the brutal KO of 3K battery.

Second of all, Morales is a better fighter than either Corrales or Castillo p4p. I'd actually go so far as to say he's one of the 5 best fighters of the last 10 years.

They were a classic matchup, the boxer vs. the puncher. It was Morales' polished boxing skills, iron chin, and index of punches vs. Pacquiao's devastating power, blinding speed, and menacing fighting style.

I just think the fact that I was so much more excited for Morales/Pacquiao put it on the same level as Castillo/Corrales...at least it did for me.

if you ask me, I think Pac vs Morales was a betta fight than Castillo vs Corrales too.

I think that "inside" type of fightin turn me off a bit. Definitely they were trading mo vicious punches, but I don't think it tops Pac vs Morales' in terms of excitement.

side note: I been sayin this, but had Morales FOUGHT and not BOX wit Pac, the fight woulda been much betta.

im a huge morales fan but seeing corrales come back from 2 knockdowns and landing a vicious left hook to stun castillo, then eventually winning the fight by tko all in the same round was pure excitement!!

Castillo-Corrales is the fight of the year so far...The Pac-Morales fight was great but IMO it didn't live up to the hype...

Agreed about Castillo/Corrales. Pacquiao/Morales lived up to the hype for me because it was a great action fight and my fighter prevailed.

Castillo/Corrales was the best fight since Toney/Jirov hands down.

Corrales/Castillo is the fight of the year to me because I don't see any fight that is going to be better than that one. Even in a rematch I don't think that fight will be beat.
