Thank you Smolger for letting that beating continue.

So he talks a bunch of trash and looks a certain way, nobody has to 'like' him per se - but I don't know what more he's got to do, what more odds he's got to take on, to earn all boxing fans' respect.
I know you're a boxing fan and not one of the straight creeps, so that's why it puzzles me.
The guy's true class comes out after a fight, win or lose.
He's got a pure heart.
I knew for a fact, said it to a friend, that, whoever won, Paul and Amir would look like friends at the end of this fight.
I see people wishing permanent damage on this great kid, and, I won't lie, I find it pretty depressing.Comment

malignaggi is a very poor man's version of floyd mayweather jr.
he's a club level fighter with a elite level personality which has given him a profile & big fights.Comment

I got nothing against Malignaggi at all. I was expecting him to lose, just not that badly.
I personally get a kick out of his trash talking. Am i a fan of his? not really, but I cannot hate on the guy. He just does what he has to do to get fights and decent paydays. I cannot hate on the guy for that. He is what he is. For his lack of power and star quality, he still managed to hustle his way onto HBO multiple fights in a row. That is impressive in itself.Comment

He's never gonna be popular, he's flamboyant and talks trash as if he's an unbeaten world champ. So he talks a bunch of trash and looks a certain way, nobody has to 'like' him per se - but I don't know what more he's got to do, what more odds he's got to take on, to earn all boxing fans' respect.

Hey,
having a huge amount of respect for a guy -- for the size of his heart, the strength of his character and all the joy and entertainment he's given me in watching him box -- is not idolatry by itself.
I'm proud to be a fan of this dude, I don't care what anybody thinks. When Amir is waxed by Tim or Devon, the fairweather King Khan cheerleaders won't be seen for dust.
Please show me where I've aimed any kind of personal invective at Khan. Anything I've said is thoroughly legitimate. I haven't branded him a coward, a ducker or anything of the sort - in fact, I've defended him on here against accusations of a lack of fighting heart, just hours before the fight tonight and multiple times in the past. Nowhere have I said that I want to see Khan take undue damage or be permanently hurt, like multiple scumbags on this forum have said re. Paulie.
So get your **** straight. I haven't hated on Khan by any stretch.Comment

I respect anybody that gives 110. Paulie doesn't duck anybody and he doesn't quit. He's all heart. Mayweather (who is an unbeaten world champ) talks the same way but you can't really say he's never ducked anyone.Comment
-
I respect that, don't get me wrong. It's more his flamboyant attitude and trash talking, you come to expect it from the elite level fighters like Mayweather but I would like it if people at Paulie's level were a little more humble.Comment
