Comments Thread For: Don King Pays $1 Million To Stop Ricardo Mayorga Fight

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.—After winning an emergency injunction Saturday afternoon over a rival promoter and one of his fighters that was attempting to participate on Saturday night in a M.M.A. match in Fayetteville, N.C., Don King had one last hurdle to clear: Florida state law required him to post a bond that Broward County Circuit Court Judge Marc H. Gold determined at $1 million. And he had to do it within two hours. [Click Here To Read More]

Is Ricardo Mayorga really that profitable to pay $1 Million for him to NOT fight with somebody else? I don't get it.

I was interested to see the fight, but I knew King wouldn't allow it to go through. If he has all this money and time to waste on something like this, why doesn't he spend a little more time and money making sure great young fighters like Devon Alexander are getting fights regularly?

                    That's the sad part.

Ninja Rua is pretty much walking through David Heath. Ninja's the only one drawing now.

Nick Thompson is out and both Estima and Azerado have limited draw.

King ****ed this card and took a lot of money away from people. Including Mayorga.
