Mundaine gets most of the air time down here but real boxing people know Mundaine for what he is. IMO Mundaine has fought 3 world class fighters & been done by the 3 of them. Hand picked fights, stays in Aussie & talks a lot of bollox ! Greens not bad, but don't get carried away with the Jones fight, 5 years ago Jones would have took the piss out of Green. I like this lad & hope he goes on to do great things in the sport.

I heard an interview with Kostya Tszyu and he was asked who was the biggest boxer in Australia....He said Darchinyan is #1 with Mundine and Green just behind him.

WTF, Katsidis should be right up there.

But he will be if he becomes World Champ

It really is funny, guys like Mundine and Green are big names here with good following, and they fight nobodies and has beens, while a guy like Michael fights top level fighters and is more exciting, and get's nothing.

Why is Kostya so popular in Australia btw? As fas as I'm concerned that guy is Russian and not an Aussie... Anyway I hope Katsidis is big in Australia he deserves it but I have heard that even guys like Danny Green and Anthony Mundine are more popular over there, is that true? It would be a ***** if it was because Katsidis is easliy the best australian fighter.

I agree Siaca wasn't a world class fighter but a level too high for "the man" just trying to point out that he gets way too much attention for someone who is just not that good.

If one were to mention the name Katsidis to an Australian, most would either not recognise it, or associate it with Michael's brother Stathi - a 2nd rate jockey.

Katsidis just needs to keep winning

                  He will get recognition eventually...

Katsidis is a warrior. With Valero out of that division, Funeka out for a bit and JMM coming to the latter days of his career, he could really make a splash. I'd fancy Kats to give JMM a very hard intense fight.

I'd fancy Katsidis to beat Marquez. Juan Diaz gave Marquez fits in their fight, and stylistically I think Kats will give Marquez more problems. Katsidis has a good guard when he uses it, his offense is good too.
