Calderon is an overhyped turd... this feather fisted bum has beat no one of merit and he'll continue that streak saturday against Gerardo Verde who claims ownership of a 13-1 record. I mean it's not bad, but Calderon needs to step it up big time. Then again no one cares about his weight class so what's it really matter?

I'd like to see him fight Muhammad Rachman for IBF title.

The last Calderon fight I saw was on the Morales Barrera undercard and he was a very skilled boxer without a big punch. Hes pretty talented but this weight class isnt the most popular either. He has stuck to what works and won 12 round uds. I guess hes a good fight to watch and get something to eat or just have it on in the background. He has a ton of boxing skills just not very exciting.

Very true, but I just found out hes 30 (is he really?)with 22 fights, can he really become something or 30 is young? In three years he could fight 3 times a year, maybe 4, coming out with a record of 30 something fights, hes going to have to step it up soon. Well Floyds 28 with 33 fights, eases my pain alittle .

I guess but look who Floyd has beat in his 33 fights. If he only had 40 career fights and beat Gatti, Hatton, Cotto, moved up and took on guys like Shane and Zab. He would be a pound for pound great. It all depends on how he goes about his fights. Unfourtantley no matter how good Ivan is he doesnt have those names in his weight class

Maybe becoming undisputed at his weight would help (Calderon), if he fights all the champions (and wins), than that would help out his resume at the weight, moving up isnt out of the question, maybe he can gain some pop, its only two to 7 pounds more.

Of course if Mayweather were to clean out the divsion he would probaly be named "the next Ray Leonard", he has all the skills to do so, and a fight between Cotto/Mayweather I want to see, there is no shame in losing to one of the most skilled fighters today, if he wins, now that would make him....? Worth the chance...I rather have them fight last, so it looks better for both of them.
