DLH should've lost the fights against Whitaker, Molina, Quartey, and Sturm. In all these fights I had him losing on points. I scored the Trinidad fight 114-114 dead even.
The only reason he beat Chavez was because he was past his prime and fighting above his weight.
I'm not ragging on DLH; I like him. But, we can't argue the fact that he benefited from good matchmaking and a few key gift decisions. He was brought along quite well by Bob Arum and co.
Now, tho, DLH is old and can't compete with the elite. He loses to Zab and Margarito (big time to Margairto) at 147 and can't beat Ouma or Wright at 154.
For whomever said he never ducked anyone forgot he ducked Winky for years. The only reason he got a title at 154 was because he fought for a vacated title against Castillejo. I suppose he would've got one from Vargas, but that's not the argument. He also didn't deserve a title at 160, even if it was the WBO.
People accuse Oscar of ducking Winky BUT
Winky was still making a name for himself when Oscar moved up and challenged Hopkins.
