He's Antonio Tarver and HBO is Roy Jones.

He's knocking out those HBO announcers in 2 and winning 2 out of 3.

    He's always on point.

He's like some good ass cheese weed.

Good if you wanna use a vaporizer or blast it away with a monster bong.

He's good at what he is doing now. We should of known this after he did a decent job at acting. Mix in his knowledge for the sport, it's a win/win. IMO, Tarver is going to be remembered for his commentating than his boxing, when he passes away.

I think Tarver also benefits from working with Farhood and Bernstein and the other top pros.

If he was on HBO, he might at times struggle to get a word in with Lampley monopolizing the microphone at times.

Showtime fits Tarver, not sure HBO would.

I've never heard Tunney say bad things about Tarver.

I think he liked him as a fighter too.

It's a very refreshing change to hear his commentary and analysis. I think poorly talented, overly negative color commentators like Atlas and Matthews have done no good for the popularity of our sport.
Color? WTF? You freakin Americans need to get over this whole race thing. Its the 21st century and there's people still saying 'colored'? He's good 'for a colored guy' WTF. ???

A color commentator (color analyst, analyst) is a sports commentator who assists the play-by-play announcer by filling in any time when play is not in progress. The term is of North American origin.

The color commentator provides expert analysis and background information, such as statistics, strategy and injury reports on the teams and athletes, and occasionally light humor. Color commentators are often former athletes or coaches of the sport being broadcast.
The term has nothing to do with race.

I don't know that I would call him the best. But I would say that he is 10 times better than Larry Merchant.
