Does taking shots build up your chin?

Now i know getting knocked out could ruin a chin, but i also know Ali was in war after war n his chin seemed 2 hold up fine. Im starting now and my trainer has been putting in me in with 30 yr old pros and ive been slugging it out with them and just been in some brutal wars. I just turned 19 and started training in sept. Do you think this is building up my chin or just taking something out of me?

Building up your neck muscles can make a little difference. Some fighters with experience will be able to deal with taking shots but it certainly doesn't build up your chin.

If you have a weak chin i don't think you could do anything about it.

Thats not my question, and i myself have never been hurt in a fight and have taken everything they had 2 give. My question is, is this taking something out of me or building me up?

it starts when your a kid, well it did for me. street fights built it up, but even that i don't know, i guess you're either born with it, or you're not.

When i started boxing i would easily get stunned when i was hit, but now im able to shrug it off

Taking hard shots will help you deal better with them, but it also gives you that little bit more brain damage. Getting KO'd cold will **** you up.

;I think they are doing that so that you can show what you are worth at your age, they did with me I had to spar with 25+ when I was 17/18, and it is just for you to show them what you can take and give back! All good for your future my friend!!
