This fight was doing pretty paltry at the box office according to the Guardian UK, so I think the promoters told those dudes to get some press stat and then they got into that "legitimate brawl."
I asked Dan Rafael from ESPN about that today during his chat session. His reply:
"[The ticket sales] are not sluggish at all. The place holds a little under 5,000. I was told that as of early today they had sold about 3,500. Figure a few hundred more today and a solid walk up and there will be close to a sellout."
