Mayweather has the best offense in boxing. Not Pacquiao.

Everyone says Floyd has the best defense, but there are a number of fighters who get hit less than him. However, Floyd's d is the most complex and thorough.

Offensively, you have to following that are better than Floyd:

    1) The Klits. Their offense is both more effective than floyd's in finishing their opponents AND it also makes them nearly untouchable in the right.

    2) Pac-Man. Accuracy is part of offense, but it's not everything. For example, the Clottey fight. CLottey was completely covered up the entire fight, no way to be accurate with him. Manny has sick pop in both hands and is just as fast as Floyd. He also has a better up and down attack.

    3) Yukioris Gamboa- this dude's pop/angles, combos are among the sickest I've ever seen.

    4) Celestino Caballero- Think Pwill but way faster so you can't counter in between his punches so easily (unless your last name is gamboa)

    5) Bute- His attack is very similar to Floyd's, offensively, but he's got more pop.

    6) Can't wait for Kirkland to come back, his o could be the best in boxing.

Bottom line, Floyd's offense is effective, but its his D and quickness that make him what he is. They are what frustrates his opponents. His soffense is very good, but to say the best in boxing is just an argument you are never going to win with anyone that knows his boxing.
Nice breakdown Walt. Well that should do it for this thread. Let's have a round of applause for all that participated.

Exactly. I like how you mentioned PWill as an example because it's the truth. Throwing 1000 punches doesn't equate the best, nor is all of them being head shots equate great combinations.

I don't think Floyd has the best offense though. He doesn't have the killer instinct part, I think it's only because he doesn't risk anything. So he doesn't let his hands go anymore.

        Thats true.

Yet it always turns into a fanboy argument.

If u only make threads about how good Floyd is, its just fanboy bull****.

The idiocy of TC is the greatest ever.

          Cmon dude.

I might as well say that Manny has the best defense because if you start attacking him, he will knock you out. thats his defense.

I would maybe agree he is a better boxer, but better offense? GTFO with that BS.

Mayweather's offense is more efficient and Pac's is more exciting just like Mayweather's defense is the most efficient and Pernell's defense is more exciting.

I would say Mayweather has the most effective offense in the sport, same as defense.

its funny how people think fighters who rely mostly on offense, makes them better offensive fighters.

and people want to bring up the klits...haha, how much compeition is in the HW division, i mean, really. don tmake be laugh, walt

look at the punch stats, the numbers dont lie

Mayweather isnt an offensive fighter but when he does attack he is extremely effective. People need to realise that boxing isnt just about offence, People say "Oh this guy threw 1000 punches in the fight" but whats so good about that? If you can throw 3-400 punches and dominate near enough every round that speaks volumes about your skills.

Too many people are obsessed with knockouts in boxing.

                      Winning is enough for me
