I will still be here, the question is what are Floyd fans going to do when he retires? Some Floyd fanatics act like the only real fans are Floyd fans, the only real fighter is Floyd, and the only thing that belongs in a ring with him is his shadow and all the **** he talks. What will you do when he retires for good? Will you cry? Will you stop watching boxing? Will you just watch tapes of his old fights? Will you claim, no matter who else comes along, "he could never come close to Floyd" What will you do when your god leaves the sport?

We will go watch other boxers because we have more than 1 boxer we like to watch.

When Pacquiao retires people like Pasawakayo and baracuda will stop watching boxing because well.... they only know Pacquiao.

Just like all the Calzaghe stans when Calzaghe retired.... where are they now?Not here.

      There is

      Fernando Guerrero
      Devon Alexander
      Timothy Bradley
      Jorge Linares
      Elio Rojas
      Juanma
      Gamboa
      Hasegawa
      Rigondeaux
      Ward
      Dirrell

List goes on and on and on. We'll all continue to watch. Although for me, I'll have to be very patient because I LOVE defensive boxers, and rarely do they come through.

I am a fan of both the sweet science and a fan of someone getting KTFO. That is why I am jacked about Floyd vs Paq. What I am not a fan of is Floyd, I used to be, when he was at lower weights he boxed masterfully and won a lot of fights by KO, and he wasnt nearly as arrogant then as he is now. I used to be in awe of RJJ, and one of my favorites now is Andre Ward. Just because someone enjoys knockouts doesnt mean they dont also appreciate slick boxing as well, and vice-versa.

They'll talk about Pacquiao not taking the tests like silly teenage girls.

                OP, please don't delude yourself.

I guarantee at least an 80% drop off rate in Filipino 'boxing fans' when Manny Pacquiao retires.

NO FIGHTER! PAST, PRESENT or FUTURE is bigger then the Sport, sure PPV numbers won't be as high as it is now because I don't think it will be another Boxer that will be as BOLD as Mayweather, Mayweather will still be around though, he is going to make a GREAT PROMOTER when he retires IMO

but it is some good young fighters coming up, Andre Berto will still be around he is a young fighter, but you have a lot of guys in that 140 division that will move up eventually, Maidana, of course Devon Alexander, Amir Khan (if his chin can hold up), Timothy Bradley, Saul Alvarez, Victor Ortiz (that fight against Nate Campbell will be important for him) can't forget about Yuriorkis Gamboa and Juan Manuel Lopez, not sure if they ever plan on moving up

Pacman fans will be the ones that disappear though or they will all jump on Nonito Donaire Bandwagon and put too much pressure on him and expect him to be as good as Pacman

but regardless, Boxing has a great future
