Fighting someone worth fighting for a title at middleweight is something I'd like to see Floyd do. Pavlik's dethroned and done at that weight, so it wouldn't be him, and I'm not saying for sure Floyd would do it, anyway - but maybe someone will really establish themselves at 160 in the next 12 months or so, and who knows. I'd be up for that, anyway.
if he's interested in winning a title at another weight, that could be attractive....it's just hard to imagine anything coming close to how big beating manny, will be for his legacy.

Depends if Pacquiao gave Floyd anything resembling a close fight.

If Floyd dominates Pacquiao, then the prevailing wisdom will be that Pacquiao was never really a threat to Mayweather, wasn't big enough to make up for not being on his level technically, Floyd should've been testing his skills against bigger guys who actually have a chance at beating him and so on - it'd be a great name, no doubt, but the prestige of the event would account for 50% of the shine a W over Pac would put on top of Floyd's ledger.

A genuine challenge up at 160 could prove to be the much more meaningful for his pure boxing Legacy.

What am I going to do? Take him off my current favorite fighters list and put another name on. It's simple...

The reason people question what alot of Pacquiao fans will do when he retire is that they (not all but many) are limited to cheering for 1 fighter, and care more about Pacquiao than the sport itself.

They (again, not everyone) are generally not boxingfans, but Manny fans.

eversince during muhamad ali's time, tyson, duran, dlh, and during the times when Pacman is not yet existed, filipinos are huge fan of boxing. even when the time comes and Pacman retires, the filipinos will never stop loving the sports(Boxing).

boxing is our sports next to basketball and billiards(pool), filipinos are into boxing since 1920s.

Good point, one of the greatest fights in history was the Thrilla in Manilla, dont recall any Philipino fighters in the main event..............

Floyd fans generally are fans of the sweet science you have to be because his a boxer not a brawler. Most Floyd fans appreciate the art of boxing as opposed to say the more recent Pacquiao fans who just want to see somebody get KTFO
