Like they are going to show us anything at all? It's all a game, you've got to know that.

Steward might just be trying to get Cotto to get acclimated to hitting the mitts like a normal boxer would, Cotto used to hit those mitts in slow motion, this is already quicker than he used to do it with his uncle and then Santiago. The right hand looks good.

@ the dudes who said Cotto looked slow....after watchin' Floyd blaze the pads on those 24/7 shows, its time to adjust the eyes back to reality!!...Floyd's pad work is like no other .....but imo Cotto looked strong and it looked like Manny Stew is developing that right hand more...to me it seemed like thats what they were workin' on....delivering that right hand.

nope, that was a weak ass hook. it was thrown only to set up the right hand.

damn, cotto does the pads with no intensity at all. I thought it was just santiago, but its just a cotto thing. well at least steward is teaching cotto something new.

I really hope this works out. It gives me some hope that Steward saw some flaws in his game during the Judah fight and even at one point said he needs to stop leaping in or he's going to catch a left and like 5 seconds he did. So hopefully he'll be able to correct these bad habits but as we often see these new teachings can be thrown out the window if things aren't going right during the fight. It would have been nice if they were able to get a easier fight first as a break-in and gain more experience with one another instead of going right into a stiff test.

When I look at Cotto hitting the pads with Steward it looks like I could burn more energy at a goat fuck than that. His pad work looks lazy.

Hoping Cotto gets back into the ranks. He was one of the more exciting boxers at 147 and has never had problems with fighting anyone put in front of him. I wish there were more fighters as willing as he has been. Hope Steward can show that Cotto still has it in him... War Cotto!
