    "European Fighting Style"

Isn't this just a nicer way saying "White fighting style"?

Why do people say this and nothing is ever mentioned about it afterwards? This is thinly veiled racism.

It's usually said in a way to make a particular fighter out to be inferior, from the same people that will call any white fighter a '"robot" or any hispanic fighter a "punching bag".

I've heard it plenty of times over recent months, most notably from Ward and Dirrell, the new faces of black power.

Is it ok to racially abuse white people? It seems so.

    Sincerely,
    TC

Because it's just describing a style.

It's like using the word slick - doesn't mean they are black, its just the term.

so nicolino locche fought a black style i'm guessing, tyson got taught a black style by a white man, same style that jack dempsey used. they just mean the straightforward boxing in line, instead of sideways movement etc., i think..

they're not being racist, at all..

Wow, that's a huge claim. Seeing how Pernell Whitaker is a southpaw.

                Did he really say that?

Apparently I am kidding you, as long as 1 of us is in on the joke I can live with that.

Every single African American living in the states has traces of European ancestry. Most simply don't embrace it.
