No but in all seriousness, the state (California) dealt his "punishment". He did his time, and should be able to apply to fight again. Whether he was oblivious to it or not, he was tried and found guilty. Right, Wrong or Indifferent. The law was enacted.

He is no different than any convict being "rehabilitated." They will eventually get out a "better person".
