Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley's Promoter Fires Back at Zab Judah, and Khan

Last Monday promoter Gary Shaw reached out Yoel Judah, father/trainer of former two-division champion Zab Judah, to see if they were interested in taking an HBO-televised fight against WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley on July 17. Yoel told Shaw he would speak to his son and call him back with answer. Shaw never heard back from Yoel. [Click Here To Read More]

Do you know how the boxing business works? Why in the world would they make that fight now? The HBO audience don't know who either guy is. Bradley has never even fought on HBO. Even Richard Schaefer in some video interview said the fight is great now but it was be huge a year from now after both guys get the right exposure on HBO.

good post. bradley isnt known to casual fans and neither is alexander why not allow bradley to fight a guy like judah who is more well known then both alexander and bradley combined and then make the fight later down the road when it can actually make some money.

                1. Yes I know how the business works.

                2. Why owuldnt make the fight now? Neither one of them are known at all. Neither are big stars. Bradley said he wanted to fight some cake yet hes back to Abregu. Alexander sells like Nelly in St. Louis. Why not fight him?

                3. Schafer has been wrong before. 3 Million buys for May-Mosley comes to mind. This same Schafer actually used the excuse that he was trying to build up Maidana-Khan rather then them fight each other.

To me the logical money fight is actually vs. Alexander. Alexander only can put up 15,000 or more in STL.

Letting things build up is killing the sport. He rather fight a little known WW than a guy with 2 belts in his own division. Something is up pump. Id love for yall to catch up with Devon about this.

**** how the business works, the fans want some real fights. Bradley is trying to duck Alexander. It's not the fans problem that how the business works or whatever they want to call it, Bradley said he would whoop his ass in due time, then his opponent dropped out of the fight twice and now everybody want to talk out the side of there neck like Alexander is a prick just for wanting the fight. I'm fine with Bradley fighting Judah but if that cannot be accommodated whats wrong with fighting a legitimate fight right now? Why is it that part of how the business works is always down the line or in the near future or some other lame vague line that has little or no meaning? If judah doesn't want the fight then **** him too for not stepping up and taking yet another free shot at the target.

He ain't lying St.Louis is my city and i assure you the city would go crazy and turn out in full force for HBO & championship boxing. Bradley just scared and wants to milk some money fighting bums, well **** him then, he is starting to look as foolish as Manny with his lame excuses.
