I do think khan got caught cold and his chin isnt probably the best but once he becomes a better boxer, his chin wont be such a big issue. Sure there is the potential of him being sparked.

But i think as he gets older he will take a shot better and it wont be such a shock for his whiskers when leather touches it. Boxing wise though, khan has the potential to do great things. Speed, power, quick learner, hard working and ambitious.
Hes got a lot going for him and cant just look at the negatives.

      Here is a good start:

In England Khan was training and sparring against stiffs. Its my understand Khan wasn't really allowed to get hit. And that certainly showed in his fights, he was getting rocked left and right and eventually KO'd any time he was hit with a solid shot.

Once he came to Freddie Roach, everything is different. He trains and spars against the best fighters, big punchers and bigger guys. He spars with Pacquiao. He spars with Light Middleweights and Middleweights. He gets used to getting hit hard on a regular basis. That in itself toughens you up and come fight night, you get hit buy a puncher and it's noting because you're used to it.

Further there are various techniques you can do during training, such as working out your neck which acts as the punch absorber.

I'm not saying khan's chin will be "Fixed" but don't be surprised if Khan was a MUCH better chin then the Prescott days. it's about training, who you spar with, etc.
Good post you must do the fair amount of boxing/martial arts yourself. People don't understand that you can condition yourself to taking punches, no one is saying khan is gonna transform into erik morales but you would expect with the jump up in weight, the "unprotected" tougher sparring, and conditioning work with his legs that he will be able to take a better shot.

I wasn't saying that it was impossible I'm just saying more or less you are born with it! Yeah you could condition yourself and we will see if Khan can actually take punches, but not the next fight!!

ИATAS206 was on point. Tim Bradley is an example of what good conditioning gives you in the ring. Tim would have a naturally better chin then khan, but the reason he didn't get KO'd against Kendall Holt was down to his conditioning.
