I would not do it out of principle, fact is that Povetkin's team(outside of history of making outlandsh demands from Wlad) had been acting about this fight like complete turds, with involving russian politics and propoganda against Klitschko, another part is that Povetkin's team never asked for PED testing any other of their opponents and this already looks like a ground for a law suit. Another point that I think is not brought up is that starts a negative precedent for all sorts of contenders to ask for outlandish demands from Champions that are not covered by the organisations statutes. PED testing is not the only thing Povetkin's team wanted, they were arguing for everything from the size of the ring to the place of fight being in Russia, to having the rights for TV coverage. This is not good business practice.

So the regular test can probably catch them since they are only making $500 a match...

The fighters people have to worry about are the fighters who aremaking millions of dollars a match and can afford to take EPO,CLEAR.and other Ped's to beat the regular steroid test that some commisions offer.

If you are fighting for $500, it is highly unlikely you are spending thousands of dollars taking HGH,and epo injections.. etc

Wouldn't not making a lot of money be more incentive to use them? Especially for someone that might be desperate to be a star. It's not like they're living off of those $500's a match. A lot of club fighters have other jobs and they could see peds as an "investment" of sorts.

Hypothetically, you could have a really desperate nobody with aspirations, so they start using peds and crushing people and getting attention, then before you know it they're getting bigger fights and more money.

Point is anybody could be on them at any time. From club fighters to superstars. They should have year round testing

Listen man, I wish somebody can give me some insider information so I can make some money off of my profilio. I mean I have all the incentive in the world to insider trade with people. However, if the results of my insider trading is only $5000 dollars, well in the big picture it really doesnt matter.
However if 5-10 years from now the if the only way I know how to make money is inside trading, and it is making me millions of dollars and losing somebody millions of dollars and costing people jobs. Then we have a problem.

The logic is simple, Regular laws and test for regular people, and Tougher laws and test and your above normal people.

This is how the American Justice System works, this is how our tax system works, and this is how are drug testing should work.
