Now before i get hit with red k & called a hater and so forth, it's an honest question. Pacquiao is still young and probably at the top of his game at this point and could easily fight at 147 or even go down to 140 and clear out the division, so why the politics & the talks of retirement?

50+ fights is greater than 39 anyone who can grasp basic math would understand that more fights = more punishment.

There's a valid reason why he's retiring. He genuinely loves to serve his people and it was an open book plan since he lost the last election (2007).

Very valid reason, and i wish he does serve his people, it's just unfortunate that as a boxing fan, we might miss his prime years in the ring. he might take too much damage from the harder punchers at 147 but i think he could clean up 140.

Not really cause i knew it wouldn't last, but going into politics seems like a long term decision so i doubt he would come back.

And thats fine not every fighter has to fight till their brain is so damaged they cant even take a ****t by themselves. Truth is fans shouldn't have any say in Pac's career path to begin with. It's his choice and he isn't obligated to any of the fans out there to continue fighting if he doesn't want to. In a perfect world Pac would move back down to 140 where fighters can't just bust through his guard with arm punches and show us how good he really is when he's fighting someone his own size.

But is the right opponent there? I dunno man. Tim Bradley vs Devon Alexander winner would be absolutely great, I don't know if the public would agree with me though.

there's a difference between seeing a fighter fight til he's broken and useless, and wanting to see a fighter in what, at least to me, is his prime, but clearly some people get way too emotional when it comes to Pac, and any valid question get you on the defensive.
