This is so ******ed, comparing an island to a big country.

They have both contributed as much to the sport as any other country. They, in my opinion, are the heart and soul of the sport.

That's not a knock on fighters from anywhere else....boxing is the definition of a global sport, without contributions from everywhere it wouldn't be what it is.

This question was already settled in 1999 and Puerto Rico won.

Mexico greatest is greater than Puerto Rican greatest.

IMO there are no Puerto Rican fighters greater than JCC, Sanchez, and Olivares.

However, after those 3 I think they start to even out.

Even though Duran has a Mexican dad he never repped Mexico, he repped Panama. And, was born and raised in Panama with a Panamaian mother.

So I don't consider Duran as a Mexican fighter. He is a Panamanian fighter.

Also Jose Napoles even though he lived and mainly fought out of Mexico is a Cuban fighter.

Gomez is a hundred times better than Oscar De La Hoya. Really is Oscar the best example you can give us.
