African American can embrace Africa heritage if they want. Just like how Duran could of embrace his Mexican heritage during his fight days. But guess what? He didn't..........

When in Duran fighting days did you see Duran embrace Mexico? When did you see him go in with a charo? Mariachi band? When did you see him celebrate a big win in Mexico?

Where did he go after he beat Leonard to party? Panama Panama Panama.

I could see it if he embraced being Mexican. But, during his reign he repped Panama not Mexico.

You make a good point, its like he used to deny his mexican blood. IMO if he wasnt 50% mexican he wouldve never been a great boxer.

True, but look at other fighters from other Latin countries who were raised in the same poverty or even worse than Duran...but they weren't as good and wild like he was.

Duran was just a beast, nobody had ever seen anything like it.

That is one of the dumbest **** I have ever heard in my life.

How many garbage ass Mexican fighters have their been.

Being from Mexico does not automatically make you great.

3 of the greatest 5 latino fighters are non Mexican. Kid Gavilan, Carlos Monzon, and Jose Napoles.

2 of those guys are Cuban.
