Difference between chin shot and a temple shot..

That is the thing, these locations have different effects on fighters. Some have been hit to the chin and nothing while when hit in the temple they are wobble all over the place.Comment

you dumbass people don't mean "chin" literally on the structural jaw/chin. The term CHIN in boxing is a metaphorical term for a boxer's ability to take a punch. Similarly when someone says wow he has good whiskers or wow that fighter has a strong beard, do you really think they literally mean his hairy BEARD is able to take punches? **** you're ****** son.People say that some fighters had no chin this and that.
I have seen fighters being seriously hurt from a temple shot than a chin shot while some fighters are hit to the chin and go down with ease.
For me temple shots can hurt anybody. But why in the world some say that fighters that where hurt with temple punches have no chin.Comment

Agreed, although i think shots to the temple can still rock your brain, i've seen guys recover somewhat better from a shot to the temple though, as you said it messes with their equilibrium.Comment

call it what you want, you're the downie that didn't know what "chin" means in boxing context and you're posting on a boxing site AND allege to be 40 years old?
talk about living a sheltered life style.
Chin just means your ability to take a punch PERIOD. It has nothing to fu##ing do with where you take the punch on your head. If you take the punch to the top of your ****ing crown and you go down you still are regarded as having a bad "chin", if you take a punch in the forehead, in the ear, in the nose, you go down, that's your "chin" betraying you, period point blank. Learn boxing noob.Comment

So me being 40 means that I have been a boxing fan since I have use of knowledge?? Did you know boxing exist also in other countries and not all countries generalize chin as the whole head and maybe just the chin as this thread is about. Where I'm from we don't mix temple shots with chin shots since they have different effects.call it what you want, you're the downie that didn't know what "chin" means in boxing context and you're posting on a boxing site AND allege to be 40 years old?

it's not that hard to see what the TS is talking about, it's not so much about a fighters "chin" but the effects of a chin or temple shot on a fighter. I personally think a temple shot tend to disorient a fighter but they can recover, a solid chin shot takes a little more to come back from.Comment
