I see what you mean Soir, and it is possible that Floyd comes back down from a possible 160 fight to 147 and be weightdrained and get KO'ed by Pacquiao(and may I add that happens to be the only way I think Pacquiao beats Mayweather, he doesn't beat a healthy Floyd). But the fact is Roy Jones put on 25lbs of muscle for his fight with Ruiz..Then like a dumbass(sorry Roy) lost 25lbs of muscles and eeked out a decision vs Tarver while showing he was longer the same fighter.

Floyd on the other hand, has fought and beat former WBC 154 Champ and former 160 Champ Oscar De La Hoya in their bout at 154 in 2007. So Floyd is no stranger to boxing's middleweights. But in the end, I agree, a drop down in weight from 160 to 147 is about 13-14lbs I estimate, and that will be dangerous for any fighter.

Martinez is much better than John Ruiz.

Roy Jones tried to be Superman by winning the Heavyweight title, and ended up kneeling before Zod when he returned back to his natural weight. Its never worked in the history of Boxing and Floyd is no different.

Honestly alot of people will be shocked at the outcome of Martinez vs Mayweather if that fight ever happens (which I highly doubt for obvious reasons)

You are naive to think that Pacquiao will just magically go away after Floyd beats Martinez. Pacquiao is twice as fast as Martinez, and as absurd as it is Floyd will be accused of ducking the smaller guy and chasing a 36 yr old.

Martinez may be the harder fight but the general public will not see it that way and the Pac fight will haunt Floyd to his grave.

Martinez is 35 and in the prime of his career. Just like Hopkins was 35 and in the prime of his.

floyd can go up in weight and beat sergio and then come down in weight and dust the **** out of manny---and he would do it---he wouldn't lose to manny---roy jones lost his athleticism---which is why he lost----floyd has the discipline to do this effectively----it doesn't matter and it wouldn't matter----you people are sorely fooled if you think he couldn't go up and down in weight---and it's not like he's going up 25 pounds to fight martinez---he'd be okay----
