OK, that's seriously dumb. Bringing Katsidis (who's always stuck to a consistent style), into a topic about Margarito (who's now trying a style which looks ridiculous) is really clutching at straws. At least Kats isn't trying to be some fake slickster out there.
Wait, you're that guy who always defends him right? In which case, I am so outta here. :laff2:Comment

So idiots like you criticize Margarito cause he's too easy to hit yadda yadda but when he actually boxes and doesn't get hit he gets criticized either way lol.OK, that's seriously dumb. I have mixed feelings about his performance, as a hardcore Tony fan I really wanted to see him just coming on guns blazing and smoking that fool quick to make a statement. It started that way, the first 4-5 rounds was vintage Tony all the way except a bit more careful which it's normal specially after that horrible loss and ring rust, but then all of the sudden he was the one moving and ducking, which is "good" in a way but this was not what I wanted to see, sure he was landing, moving better than his opponent and he clearly won virtually every round but this was so uncharacteristical of Tony, he would never let an opponent clown him like that, let alone clown back that way, I thought it was just silly and completely out of character for him.
I'm gonna keep rooting for him because I'm loyal and despite of that lackluster performance, he is still rusty and I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt, but if this is the "new Tony" I'm gonna have to admit he really is done for good, this style doesn't fit him one bit and he might as well just retire and keep whatever little respect he has left.Comment

I think it's too early to consider what we will get out of Margarito in the near future. On one hand I can understand why people wanted to see the same destroyer we are used to seeing, on the other hand I commend him for trying to be more slick and defensive.
I don't think Marg has forgotten to brawl, let's put it that way.Comment

I would honestly go as far and think that if Margs really wanted to knock him out he could of. I think it was more of putting in rounds for him in this fight. That's just me. I could be wrong.I think it's too early to consider what we will get out of Margarito in the near future. Man, fuck off with that **** and stop clutching at straws. When have I complained about Margarito getting hit? It was part of his style and I always accepted it.Comment

Maybe Margarito wanted to carry him and get some rounds in. He should stick to his style though. Other than Mosley, it's brought him success. It's too late in his career for that much of a style change. Maybe he was just putting on a show for the fans. Who knows?Comment

I said the same thing in another thread. Many times trainers want "rounds" for their fighters. After being inactive for 15 months, I can understand why.Comment
