The one thing i do take issue with is this:
Merchant thinks you have to be in wars and dramatic fights to be great.....and i don't believe that for a second.....it helps...but he mentioned sweet pea........he is top 15 on almost every ATG list......was he ever in dramatic fights??? No not really. If this was the "true" basis for greatness Arturo Gatti would be GOAT hands down.....but he's not.
Is it Mayweather fault these other guys can't force him into a "dog fight"??? The only fighter i think could have done it a few years back was Plaserito......or Shane if they fought at 135....but that wasn't going to happen...Shane was struggling to mae weight and moved up to make the real $$$ vs Oscar.
I think people need to give Floyd his credit....he deserves it......

Losing to a washed up Morales......beating an even more washed up Morales after Raheem did it....getting outboxed my Marquez twice.....fighting David Diaz @135,...beating a drained Oscar at a weight he didnt fight at in a decade....beating Hatton after Mayweather knocked him out.....beating Cotto at a catchweight, and beating Clottey who just loss to Cotto?
yeah those are great accomplishments
oh and i didnt even mention the draws on his record and the 2 knock out losses....
please tell me how that equates to fighting the best out there?

Good decision by Floyd, his lack of courage made him build this undefeated record.Last edited by Arthas; 05-12-2010, 10:35 AM.

What he did against Hatton,Cotto and then Clottey surprised many. He was able to carry both his speed and power against naturally bigger men and knocking them off in fashion, that's impressive considering the weight classes he competed in less than 2 years ago.
