I agree, Mitchell will have his moments but Katsidis should take this. It's a big step up for K-Mitch, but I'll be pulling for him.

Katsidis very possibly can KO Mitchell, though. Kevin needs to box as smart as he can in the fight and not rely on his (very good, but not granite) chin too much.

Like I said, it's 50-50 with so many variables. It's a step-up for both of them, but more so for Mitchell because Kats has faced world class opposition before (albeit coming up short).

Mike's a warrior, but there's only so much he can do in Warren's territory. He can't allow this fight to reach the scorecards - look at what nearly happened with Escobedo. Most bull**** SD ever.

Mitchell is a very good fighter and can **** as well, if katsidis is not his best for any moment of the 12 it could be lights out.

however this is a pickem fight, BUT im English so im leaning towards my boy Mitchell..

How? Katsidis is so much more experienced than Kevin.

Mitchell's been smacked around by Estrada, came close to being stopped by Johanneson and handily exposed Prescott's limitations.

Katsidis gave a hard fight to a still very live CASAMAYOR, gave a hard fight to rated young talent like Juan Diaz, and has solid veteran names like Chavez on his record.

Even allowing for wear and tear on Katsidis and the fight being in his opponent's back yard, you've got to give the edge to Mike in this. Anyone who thinks Mitchell can't potentially be stopped is dreaming, that's why I say he needs to be smart to win.

Katsidis too fast and too strong. Mitchell is very talented, but this is an ENORMOUS step up in competition for Mitchel.

He didnt have much trouble holding off slow punchers like Prescott, but Katsidis is MUCH faster and much better all around.

i like Katsidis by decision, and at +125 i think its a great buy.

              ---------

Other Great bets this weekend are Khan-Malignaggi under 11.5, and Campbell over the very mentally weak and overrated Ortiz. And get this, ALL THESE BETS ARE UNDERDOGS!!!!!
Mitchell has decent speed and Kats may be a lil slower IMO

I already got 1 mil on Kats

Mitchell wont have tasted the power and hasnt been in the ring with anyone like this guy

Kats been in the ring with some better names

              He's being under estimated IMO

Hopefully he isnt going to get robbed

I think the wars have been bad for him but he still got some

                This is true, also.

In a shoot-out, though, I'd give Katsidis the edge. He knows what it's all about at this level in a way Mitchell doesn't yet.

To me, the 50-50 variables are more to do with the circumstances surrounding the fight rather than the fight itself. As I keep saying, it's in Warren's backyard and he's got a lot riding on Mitchell to pull this off and become his new Khan. So when it comes to decisions, Kats is at a disadvantage considering how dodgy things can get here in the UK (disregarding for a moment any dodgy calls elsewhere in the world).

Also it'll depend on the ref, who may or may not allow Kats to keep on fighting if he's cut badly. If it's a good ref who knows his stuff, he'll have seen the Amonsot fight (among others) and won't go jumping in to "save" Kats from getting bloodied up. It's this, and the aforementioned hometown disadvantage, which pose the biggest threats to a Kats victory. If they stop it on cuts, I'll call bull**** and will know how Vitali fans felt after the Lennox loss.

As for the actual fight, the only way I see Kats losing is if he neglects the jab (I keep wishing he'd have one...) and elects to follow Mitchell endlessly around the ring without working his way inside - hence people's prediction of him getting outboxed. If he just charges in with the extreme head bobbing and hopes to corner his man without intelligently jabbing his way in, he'll be in for a disappointment because Mitchell will know to expect such an onslaught. Jab is the key, then he can get to work.

Should be a cracking fight. Really cant wait.

Katsidis is on the way down, he's had alot of hammer.
Mitchell just seams to be improving every fight. He's got the hand speed and power to beat Katsidis.

All my points say's Mitchell will win if any wants it?
