Very good for Martinez; I applaud his ambition. However, this match up is a very bad and stylistic nightmare for him.

You have two very slick defensive boxer/counter punchers in there. The trouble with Martinez is that he uses his legs a lot more than his hands.

He has a tendency of backing up, using lateral movement, picking his spots carefully and fighting in spurts against straightforward opponents. That style is a recipe for disaster against an opponent like Money because he is very economical with his punches who likes to counter also.

However, it's a very nice payday for him and I applaud his willingness to fight the best. At the same time, unless he takes more offensive risks and make this a very fast and physical fight, it's one that he cannot win and one in which he will ultimately get shut out easily by Floyd.

martinez is a great boxer with great hand and foot speed along with good pop

and at 154 would be an exciting challenge for floyd.

floyd is razor sharp and fast and would make martinez have to bring it.

160 would be too high for floyd but 154 should not be a problem

He will not fight Martinez until Martinez is out of shape, worn out, at this moment he isn't even thinking about that that possibility. He fights just old out of their primes fighters or smaller fighters. He fought De la Hoya (35, out of his prime), Mosley(38 going to 39, out of his prime with a layoff of 18 month), Gatti (way out of his prime), Hatton (140 champ at 147 to have size advantage), Marquez (36 years old, champ at 135 at 147). That's his record. Only Castillo was in his prime and that was a great fight that Castillo won. Floyd won the rematch.
Now Martinez is in his prime, he had great performances so he will not fight him yet. He lets Martinez have 2 more fights with great fighters and then maybe he fights him. He wants Pacquiao because he is smaller and he knows that without "blends" he is just a regular vulnerable fighter on which he has the size advantage.

I give him credit for carefully picking his opponents and the times he faces them because with this he fooled a lot of people into thinking he is just great. He is the smartest fighter out there.
Champion warriors like Martinez, Williams, Cotto and others don't know that this is the way to become great, they just fight against the best.

Wake up man. Look at the pictures you have when you post. I just don't like how he fools people like you and makes them get on his nuts right away. But it's your problem, it doesn't bother me that you are all over your idols nuts, after all it's your idols nuts. You don't see me having pictures of any fighter, I'm a fan of the sport and like seeing the best fight the best in their primes.
