What is skilled to you guys?

For example do you guys think if Floyd fought the style of Pacquiao. That he would be as successful as Pac with that style?

Skill wise where does Ricardo Lopez rank?

IMO he is one of the most perfect technicians in the 90's. There was nothing that man couldn't do.

that question doesnt make sense. no one really thinks Mayorga is skilled but if Floyd cant win with Mayorgas style then that doesnt make Floyd any less skilled. Its like you are dumbing Floyd down. I know you cant think Pac is equally as skilled as Floyd. Even the Pac fans wouldnt admit that. That doesnt make Floyd better though because Pac could do what he does better than Floyd. There may be a guy in the NBA right now who has no flaws and can do it all but he only does it at a C level. Id much rather have the guy who can only do a few things but does it at an A level. Floyd doesnt have many flaws and he does pretty much everything at a high level. I think he can fight on the inside like Pac & brawl but its not what he wants to do. He wants to hit & not get hit

Skilled to me is the science. Hit and not get hit. Speed, timing, reflexes, footwork, defense, accuracy, punch placement, smarts, ring genralship...alot goes in to calling a guy highly skilled. In short I would say a guy who has mastered the art of boxing.

Its more then just throwing punches at high speeds with power. Which is why I dont call Williams real skilled. Hes not IMO.

Lopez was a master but he's skilled more in the way that JMM is. I think Floyd is clearly on a higher level than that. He has all the technique with master defense, and with the high speed & versitility. He can fight like them or he can fight like an RJ if he wanted to. He can use the shoulder roll like Toney, he can use the high guard like Winky, he can counter, he can come forward, he can fight in the pocket, he can move, he can throw literally every punch in the book. I dont think Lopez can do all of that even in being a master technician

He actually used to fight like that in a way. The Hernandez fight comes to mind. Floyd was guy who let his hands go back in the day as he got heavier and older his style went more towards just boxing.
