50k yeah. And the ticket price was? Seeing as Floyd vs Shane pulled a way larger gate with not even 1/3 of the attendance.
Selling tickets for 1/4 of the price would sell out a stadium with Floyd too.
And noone is dis*****g Manny being a big draw. He is probably the 2nd biggest draw in boxing.
The numbers however clearly indicate Floyd is the biggest draw in the sport.
that **** went over your head
just to get 50K to watch boxing is a big deal...especially when one of the fighters is a complete nobodyComment

Damn this **** is BS. Do any of you Floyd stans think that the amount spent promoting Pac/Cotto or Pac/Clottey was anywhere near as much as PBF/Mosley or PBF/JMM?!?
Yes Floyd did bigger numbers but he also spent a ****load more time/money promoting those fights.
Both men are draws and there's no way to truly gauge because there are too many variables that cause people to buy PPV's.Comment

Entertainment is not hard to sell if the price is right.
If ppv's cost $15 instead of $55, do you think the amounts of ppv sales would increase?
50.000 tickets are ofcourse impressive, but if you scratch on the surface its not exactly a strange thing at all.
The Klitschkos sell out arenas too. 1 because they are a draw and 2 because the tickets are way cheaper than those in vegas.Comment

Pac-Cotto was just as heavily promoted.Comment

And De la Hoya vs Pac? Hatton vs Pac? Cotto vs Pac?
Its not like the Clottey fight is the only thing we base our opinion on.
Look at the facts (numbers for all ppv fights) posted a couple of pages back.Comment
