Paulie's alright but I alway felt he was overrated. His biggest wins were against Taylor and Miranda, not the credentials to enter any lb4lb lists. He might do alright against some of the supersix but I doubt he will rise much higher than he did right after winning the middleweight title.

According to Merchant, Pavlik drained 11-12 pounds 24 hours before the weigh in. That might explain why he was so slow. I've never seen him that slow in his entire career. It was embarrassing.

Stay away from the Dre's and Bute, I'll give him a decent shot against everyone else.

Arum knows what he's doing, so he will try to get HBO to accept Stieglitz, Andrade, or the winner of Brinkley-Bika.

Coming from a big Pavlik fan, I think he is finished on the top level. He needed to rematch Sergio and not run away from the chance to avenge the loss. Now moving up he will be fighting bigger guys who can crack and take a punch. And Pavlik moves like he is in water when he moves up. I think he either fights a few bums and scraps by or some big guns after the super 6 and gets beaten up.

pavlik had an okay run. he got some easy wins here and there but in the end he couldnt exploit the weight classes anymore and now look, hes going to the class he shouldve been in.

I actually think Pavlik would do better at 175 if he weren't too small for that weight-class which he probably would be. I personally think Dawson gets bothered when his opponents can make him fight at a faster pace then he wants. But we couldn't tell much about Dawson lately from his wins over older fighters like Johnson and Tarver. But Johnson in there first fight made Dawson fight at a pace he didn't like, and thats why there first meeting was so close. There second metting I think Johnson got old, and I said that before the fight even took place. I was not happy the rematch took so long to be made!

I honestly believe the 168 weight class is a bit better then the 175. They have Dirrell, Ward, Bute, Kessler, Froch(underrated), Abraham. While 175 has Dawson, Pascal, and Cloud.

Pavlik would look like he was standing in cement at 175. Dawson would embarass him.

plus Martinez would make many fighters look slow

I hope Calzaghe comes back and fight Pavlik for a warmup and ends his career.
