Well Bute is considered the top dog at 168 by some posters, and all he's done to earn it is beat up on the Andrades of the world.

Pavlik-Andrade, Pavlik-Bika, Pavlik-Brinkley are all Pavlik's fights.

I'd love to see him fight Kessler or Froch if either of them get knocked out of the Super 6 after the group stage.

Styles make fights. I picked Martinez for the upset because his movement is nonstop, he's the fastest Jr. Middleweight and Middleweight, his countering ability is excellent, and, although people got fooled in the Williams fight, his defense is solid.

If you stand in front of Pavlik, he can and will throw 60-100+ punches. Pucnhes that don't look all that powerful, but hurt and wear opponents down. His biggest problem is that he has a blueprint out on him, but it's one that not everyone can pull off to a tee.

He should stay away from the Dre's and Bute. I'll give him a decent shot against everyone else.

If Pavlik trades shots with a guy like Kessler or Abraham he's going to get killed. They are stronger and much more powerful than he is, and can both eat a shot.

I give him a chance against Froch and Green. Everyone else will murder him.

I'll tell you what will still separate Bute from Pavlik

if Pavlik wins versus Andrade (which is no easy task), he will be 1-1 at supermiddleweight and higher

Bute, at SMW and LHW, is 26-0

I could understand someone saying this in 2007/08 before Pavlik's 0 went but Kelly has not looked good recently. I think we need to see how he does against a Andrade/Bika/Brinkley before mentioning the rest. As many people have already mentioned, Pavlik is a fighter who relied a lot on his size advantage at MW but at SMW that size advantage starts to diminish.

Pavlik vs Andrade seems to be the first logical step as that is a HBO fight and should show us if Pavlik is still a top fighter. I also think he should get his house in order and have a change of team/trainer before starting out at SMW but I can't see that happening.

Pavlik going up in weight is the best thing that could have happened

the rematch would have been useless, just another whooping

now the fans will get to watch the bouts that matter at 160 : Williams, Margarito, maybe Floyd

that would be shocking if Pavlik went straight up to 175, I'm surprised they suggest it as a possible move in the article....
