      i agree

I wasnt actually comparing them, but for fun lets compare/contrast

both were not considered attractions..as stated by Floyd and Roach previously(But Floyd still fought him, while the other didnt)
both didnt have big fanbases and couldnt sell out venues..
one was basically unknown to the casuals..the other was known to some, but had no drawing appeal..
one was a contender..the other was the welter champ..
..maybe we can compare Cotto/Pac vs Mosley/May..
where Cotto trumps Mosley in terms of drawing power..so lets basically say May carried this fight..the way Pac carried the Clottey fight..
do you think that is a fair statement?

A lot of idiots and haters in this thread.

Anything over 1.4+ is a success for Floyd and boxing. You guys are getting used to Floyd's numbers that you don't realize some of bs you guys post.

Boxing usually does around 300K for big fights. Floyd and Manny have been selling over a million for a few fights. That's great for boxing especially when boxing is not one of the main sports in the US. Basketball, football, and baseball are more popular than Boxing.

Just because GBP said they would sell 4 million doesn't mean this is a failure. Manny's fight with Cotto is also a failure because TR said the fight was going sell over 2 million? No.

I can't lie, I don't care who has more PPV buys. If they wanna make it about who sold the most PPVs, then Floyd gets the bigger Pot. If it's about most excitement, you gotta give it to Pac. The man is a showman. I am a connoisseur of Pure Boxing. It gets me heated. But in terms of I'm about to take you man to man, Pac gets it hands down. Money made strides in that department against Mosley. I almost flew into African-American Nerd Rage. <----Who knew that could happen? Anyway, 50-50, 7 day test window, somebody get knocked out. There it is.

...and BTW, don't just thank Floyd...

Thank: Roger Mayweather, Floyd Sr, Shane Mosley, & Naazim Richardson. They all equally had a part in helping promote this fight whether it was Roger and Floyd Sr talkin **** or Naazim being straight forward and sometimes brutally honest. The contrast was great for selling the fight. It was the perfect good guy vs bad guy scenario.

                  I salute all them dudes

well I expected 1.5..so not far off from what I guessed..
but I think May/Pac will double these numbers

It could have done 1.5 if Pac would have had that K.O of Hatton BEFORE he fought Oscar. That would would have been perfect going into a fight like that.
